Bike Transalp
From 16th-17th July 2019 it will be very busy around The Eggental, while
the MAXXIS BIKE Transalp will lead up to 1000 mountain bikers through
the Dolomite Alps. For the first time the stage race will stop in
Welschnofen. The starting shot for the 22nd BIKE Transalp will be fired
on 14th July in Tux, in Austria’s Zillertal region. After seven stages
with a total distance of 550 kilometres and 18.500 metres of elevation
the race will end in Molveno.
The 2019 route contains several new panoramic trails, like the new path
from the Tuxer Joch to the Schmirntal, fun tracks like the flowing Jerry
Line in the Brixen Bikepark and the Carezza Trail in Welschnofen. The
third stage will lead the riders from St. Vigil to Welschnofen in The
Eggetal on 16th of July. It is a royal stage, a strenuous ride through
the heart of the Dolomites, where the breathtaking mountain views have
to be worked out on sometimes beastly ramps. After a night in
Welchnofen, the race will continue towards San Martino on 17th of July.
Again the riders can expect a top-notch sightseeing tour through the
Unesco World Heritage Site.
