Thicker cloud will spread in from the south, with only intermittent sunny spells. During the afternoon, light rain is possible in places.

Low pressure conditions will bring unsettled weather, while a cold front will cross the Alps from the north during the evening.
Cloud and fog will frequently reduce visibility on the mountains, with only occasional sunny spells. During the afternoon, patchy light rain will spread in from the south, with snow falling above 2500 m.

A northerly flow will bring cold but temporarily dry air masses into the Alpine region.
To begin with, there will still be a few showers, with the snow line dropping to as low as 1500 m in places. As the day progresses, the clouds will break up and it will become quite sunny. A cold and at times strong north wind will be blowing.

Tuesday will start unsettled with the last remaining showers. As the day progresses, northerly winds will bring improving conditions and sunshine will become widespread. On Wednesday we expect a lot of clouds, but conditions will remain mostly dry. Temperatures will decrease significantly. On Thursday, sunny spells and clouds will alternate, with a few rain showers during the afternoon. Friday will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers.
